Pizzeria Vinizza

Vinizza is a restaurant in the heart of Montreal's Little Italy. One may think that a pizzeria is one of the last types of restaurants the area needs, but Vinizza can easily take credit for having one of the best pizza's in town.
Though their pizza dough can be soggy at times, their tomato sauce easily makes up for it. There's nothing better than a fresh and perfectly simple tomato sauce. I have gone back with family and friends often and, for some reason, I'm hooked on their Buffala pizza. I believe the less ingredients on a pizza the better, after all, if the ingredients are fresh and of superior quality, there should be nothing to hide. Their antipasti are full of flavour, my favourites being the polenta crostini which is topped with gorgeous chunks of italian sausage and their signature tomato sauce; their sausage and rapini plate; their juicy italian meatballs and finally, their portobello mushroom platter with creamy goat cheese and spinach. As for the pizza's, you know my favourite, but there are many more to try, all of which are amazing. I have not tried their pastas yet, but I hear they're home made. How could I have resisted?
Here are a few tips:
1. If you absolutely can't stand soggy pizza, ask the waiter to request it made extra crispy
2. Try their house wine. It comes from the owner's own vineyard in Italy and it's pretty decent (I have to give my sister Derev credit for this tip, so thanks D!)
3. Definitely try their Tiramisu. It's light, creamy and absolute perfection.
Bon Appetit!
